November Favorites

I’m just a tad bit late on this.. how in the heck is it already December? Christmas is right around the corner people! Anyway, I bring to you my November favorites! I loved a lot of things this month, but I’ll try to narrow it down. I’ve really been enjoying reading in my spare time (when I’m not napping of course) and who doesn’t love a little skincare, am I right?

Skincare has become an essential for me lately. I got really into makeup (and still am) but I’m focusing on fixing my skin concerns instead of masking them. I have a lot of closed comedones and blackheads.. but that’s for another post.

The Ordinary (Deciem)

The Ordinary’s products are so affordable and SO GOOD. The product you see above is the caffeine solution. I use this on my undereyes every morning before applying makeup and it helps to lessen my dark circles and makes me look more awake. My only advice is to actually read the descriptions and buy the products that are right for your skin and what you want to accomplish, not just what everyone else recommends or is buying.

The Drunk Elephant

The Drunk Elephant minis I received as an early Christmas gift and holy guacamole they are good! The price tag? Not so good. I believe the full size of the pink bottle (Framboos Glycolic Night Serum) is a whopping $90. Yeah, you read that right. 90 dollars. When my samples are finished I will most likely be repurchasing. I’ve only been using them for a short period of time, and already my skin feels and looks smoother and more even-toned.

Lastly, I finally got the original beauty blender and boy am I glad I did! This one is soooo much better than all the knock offs I’ve tried. It is so soft and blends away foundation and concealer effortlessly. Love. Love. Love.

The month of November has been all about face masks & growing my hair. Gotta keep that face feelin’ fresh and that hair strong. Nobody likes breakage. I love winding down in the evening by putting on a face mask and looking like Jason Voorhees (lol). Face masks have become a staple item in my self-care routine and I am obsessed. I bought a 5 pack of hair scrunchies from my local CVS because I am attempting to grow out my hair and that involves not wearing a tight hairband that causes breakage.

Next up – the Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette. Not only is this a November favorites… this is a LIFE favorites. Did I jump on the bandwagon and purchase this? You betcha. I am SO glad I did. Honestly, I would be alright with never using any other eyeshadow palette again, it’s THAT good. Pardon the mess I have made of mine… It gets a lot of use. daily. This palette seriously has every color eyeshadow you could ever want and is great for everyday makeup looks. As soon as I start hitting pan on these eyeshadows you best believe I am heading to my local Ulta store and repurchasing!

Not gonna lie, this next item on my list of favorites came as a shocker to me. I did not think I was going to like it.. at all. The Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray. It is illuminating and my face is oil city. Normally those two do not go together. I was wrong. This setting spray is gorgeous. It has little “sparkles” in it that make your face look illuminated and glowy, especially during these cold winter months. Let’s be honest, I really just enjoy how fine of a mist this thing sprays. It’s my favorite part of my makeup routine.

Capture Your Style by Aimee Song is such a gorgeous book full of knowledge and amazing photos. If you don’t know who Aimee Song is, she is a fashion and interior design blogger ( and she also has her own Youtube channel. Aimee is amazingly talented and I’m so glad she decided to write this book to share her knowledge of gaining an online presence through Instagram (or any platform for that matter).

Well folks, that’s the end of my November favorites. Of course, I could have talked about a ton more items but I shall leave them behind to be featured in future posts. Let me know what you’re favorites from the month of November were!
